This Maori Rimu Ring Box has a beautiful puhoro design carved into the lid.

Crafted from recycled NZ Rimu timber, the puhoro lid design is a traditional Maori tattoo design used on the arms or legs, and relates to the sea. This particular, modern Maori puhoro design is reminiscent of the ripples and swirls created by a paddle strike, propelling the waka through water.
